A student has to read values carefully, compare quantities, find differences or rates, interpolate between plotted points, and apply a simple formula given in the passage. Questions typically follow a data-representation or research-summary passage and offer four answer choices that look like nearby numbers from the same figure. Common traps include pulling a value from the wrong series or axis, mixing units, treating a trend as an exact calculation, or skipping a conversion the passage already supplied.
