What this topic is
Evaluating support for each viewpoint asks which evidence would strengthen or weaken a given explanation.
ACT Science questions in Conflicting Viewpoints passages might describe a new finding and ask which scientist it supports, or which viewpoint is consistent with a stated observation. A finding supports a viewpoint that predicts it and weakens one that predicts the opposite. Neutral evidence, which every viewpoint would expect, supports none of them in particular.
Judging each case requires knowing what each explanation would predict before looking at the choices. Answer options frequently pair a viewpoint with yes or no and a reason, and both parts must be right.
Every question is picked for where you are right now, wrong answers come back until they stick, and it all works offline.
