Comparing and interpreting results across experiments — ACT practice questions
Comparing and interpreting results across experiments on the ACT Science test means reading related studies and deciding how their findings agree, differ, or change with method. A student has to match a result to the experiment that produced it, judge whether a new trial would support or weaken a claim, and notice when a variable or procedure is not the same. Questions present paired experiments and ask which one produced a given pattern or which conclusion both data sets allow. Common traps include mixing up the experiments and choosing an answer that fits one study but contradicts the other. Answer choices name an experiment, a variable, or a directional comparison.
