Command of Quantitative Evidence — SAT practice questions
Command of Quantitative Evidence on the SAT Reading and Writing section asks students to connect a short passage with a table, graph, or figure. A student has to decide which choice is actually supported by the data rather than by a general impression of the text. Questions often complete a sentence about a trend or ask which statement the figure supports. Common traps include reversing an increase and a decrease, citing the wrong category, or picking a claim that matches the passage but not the displayed evidence. Answer choices usually look like competing claims or sentence completions that all sound plausible until checked against the figure.
