Delete Your Account
The app works fully without an account. An account exists only if you signed in under Backup & sync with Google or Apple. If you never signed in, we hold no account for you and there is nothing to delete on our servers: your progress is stored only on your device.
One account serves all of our apps and websites. Deleting it removes the synced progress of every one of them, not only the app you are using.
1. In the app
Open Settings → Account → Backup & sync → Advanced → Delete account & cloud data… and confirm. The account is deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.
2. On the web, without the app
Open the website of any of our apps in a browser, sign in with the same Google or Apple account you used in the app, and use the same control: Settings → Account → Backup & sync → Advanced → Delete account & cloud data…. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Because the account is shared, any of these sites will do:
- iseeonthefly.com (ISEE)
- ssatonthefly.com (SSAT)
- shsatonthefly.com (SHSAT)
- satonthefly.com (SAT)
- actonthefly.com (ACT)
- examvocabbuilder.com (Vocabulary Builder)
- chalkboardprep.com (Chalkboard Prep)
- intuitivelearninglab.com (Intuitive Learning Lab)
studyonthefly.com, where this page lives, has no sign-in.
3. By email
Write to [email protected] from the email address the account uses and ask us to delete it. If you hid your email with Sign in with Apple, tell us the relay address Apple created for our app; your Apple ID settings list it under Sign in with Apple. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
- The account and every sign-in linked to it: the email address and the account identifier each Google or Apple sign-in gave us.
- All synced study progress: practice results, ability estimates, streaks, badges, settings, and the display nickname, for every app.
- Any Sign in with Apple token we hold. We also revoke our app's access at Apple.
Sign in with Google or Apple only ever gave us your email address and an account identifier. We never saw or stored your Google or Apple password.
What is kept
- Progress on your device. Deleting the account does not touch it, and the app keeps working without an account. To clear it, use Settings → Account → Reset progress, or uninstall the app. If you sign in again later, the progress on that device is backed up to a new account.
- Question reports. A report you filed about a question is kept so we can fix the question, but it is no longer linked to any account. What remains is the report itself and a random token stored on the device that filed it.
- Anonymous answer statistics. These were never linked to an account and carry no name, email, or device identifier, so there is nothing in them to delete. See the Privacy Policy.
